Had a nice relaxing day. Picked up Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii. It's a simple, but very addictive game. And so I wasted half a day playing that. Then I went over to a work friends house to fix her computer. Setting up a wireless router to be specific. When she asked me yesterday to do it for and offered to pay me i said no worries, just pick me up a few beers, wasn't really expecting payment or anything for something so easy... she got me a whole carton, 24 beers for 20 mins of my time. It's more than my skinny ass can drink in a month :( Sooo, does anyone wanna get smashed with me and play Wii :P

Mmm, well I'm finally starting to feel a bit more cheerful. Still find myself missing Mel, mainly when I'm sitting here with nothing to do when i would've normally been talking to her on MSN. Probably would've ended up at least trying to talk to her again by now if I thought she actually missed me or gave a damn, but meh. To be honest I feel better now than I did for the past 2-3 months. At least now I got a rejection and can deal with it, instead of being lead back and forth by a girl who can't make up her mind, making me miserable in the process.

Anyways, haven't been up to a great deal really, reading mostly. Went through the entire Black Jewel Trilogy and the following books, so 6 books altogether in the last week. Probably gonna stay up late tonight trying to finish American Gods, which is surprisingly hard to put down. Also getting a new LCD monitor (22") and a new sexy computer case. My current case is squat, ugly and a kinda dull uninspiring black color. You could drape beautiful super models over this thing and it would still look like crap. I'll post a pic of the new one when it arrives. I'm gonna go through the daunting task of reformating my hard drives when I get this new case as well, and I swear to god I'm gonna keep all my files organized this time, no more of this crap scattered everywhere across two HDDs and 10,000 different folders. Well I'm off to get some beer and popcorn before I settle in for a good long read. And yes, I have been drinking a lot more lately, although 2 six packs over nearly two weeks isn't all that much really. (I'm still such a lightweight, sobs)

Well still feeling pretty pissed off about whats happened. Logged into Myspace today and first thing I see is a status update on Mel, telling me she's feeling fabulous. FFS, does she even give a damn about how much she hurt me? I would've like to think that losing my friendship would've meant something to her at least, but apparently not. I've been more upset over a fucking stubbed toe than she is over this. Screw that bitch.

Sigh, well sorry for the rant. Not a lot else going on for me right now. Finished reading Tangled Webs by Anne Bishop, kinda felt let down by the plot of it though. I like the characters and the world, but the story just felt kinda silly, especially compared to her other books. Other than that been playing alot of Mario Kart Wii. I want to play play GTA4 on my PS3, but i had to send the console off for repair last week, so now all I can do is sit here and look at the pretty pics on the back of the game case :( Only good news about this is my PS3 was still under warranty, so the repair/shipping is all free. Just gotta wait 3-4 weeks to get it back.

Damnit, just been checking out the fmvs from Crisis Core and they look fucking awesome. Why did they have to make this game for some crappy console like the PSP, no one gives a damn about the PSP, they should've made this for the PS2 or better yet the PS3, bastards. Grrr, well I'm off to play FFVII, maybe that'll cheer me up abit.

Just finished my first play through of DMC4 on the PS3, and i'm very impressed with it. Beautiful graphics combined with fast paced action makes for a great game. My only complaint is the boss fights miss the epic feel and sheer brutality of God of War, although the combat mechanics more than make up for it. I beat the hard mode tonight, after resting up I'll give the really hard mode a try tomorrow, and then onto the even harder mode, and lastly the stupidly hard mode :P Sigh, hopefully by the time I get bored with this FFXIII will be released.

Ahh well I just got home from a long and tiring day of healthy exercise. Yes, its true, Dan + exercise isnt impossible, and hell hasn't frozen over yet. Mel managed to convince me that riding into Perth and back would be a good idea, and I must admit it was. I enjoyed the ride down there and hanging out in the city for abit. It was the ride back that was brutal. I was so tired after riding down there that I could barely manage the ride home. Was worth it though, can already feel this exercise doing me good, got a nice sunburn across the back of my neck :P

Well, to be brief I'm ashamed of myself. Bought a new 40" LCD TV yesterday, it was so damn pretty, just couldn't resist. Now I'm mourning the loss of a substantial amount of money. On the bright side I'm using it as a computer monitor as I speak (type), and its amazing. 40" of crystal clear 1920x1080res computing glory :). Even my old PS1 games can be made to look spectacular on it, FFVIII in particular. Started playing it again tonight for the billionth time in my life :P With abit of work my comp can smooth out all crappy low res textures so they look good even on a large screen, now if only it could do something about the low poly models, poor Squall still has a square head at the moment :(

Ahh, well during a long and very boring day at work I found myself thinking about what my plans are for the future. Needless to say it was a very dull day. Must say I don't see myself turning my job at Cash Converters into a career, don't like dealing with customers that much, and I get bored far to easily there. As to what I would actually like to do, well thats a damn good question. Some sort of Engineer is the only thought I can come up with that appeals to me. Damn hard job to get into though, 4 years of uni study. Not sure if I can handle that, haven't enjoyed my past uni experiences. Feel like I've wasted so much time already, spending another 4 years studying kinda puts me off. Still, getting back into studies would be a welcome change, can almost feel my mind turning into mush dealing with ignorant customers all day. Perhaps trying a different university might help, UWA wasn't very enjoyable for me. Have to wonder when I'm gonna manage to move out as well, even working full time I can't manage it solo. I could probably just manage to pay the rent on a cheap house, that would be about it though. Would have to live on baked beans and water.
